This is about the rights and safety of we the people. Per the first amendment, we the people are allowed to peacefully assemble and protest. The elderly gentlemen in the article were then assaulted by a younger man, unprovoked, and the assailant has yet to be properly held accountable for his actions. This is not justice, nor mercy. It was my intention to bring attention to this matter as a Marylander, and I hope that we can learn from what is happening over there and prevent it from happening here in Southern Maryland.
