Watchmen Update - Charlie Kirk Passing
With heavy, yet emboldened, hearts we must continue engaging in prayer and to be vigilant against the schemes of the evil one, both physically and spiritually. Between the attacks on Christian schools and on campuses, the foretold trials seem to be ramping up. Rather than be demoralized, we need to remember the words of Christ:
“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.”
John 15:18-21 NKJV
But, he says further:
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NKJV
We keep our eyes on Him. It hurts while we wait and suffer these terrible things that happen to us and our loved ones. But we shall mourn with our brothers and sisters who have suffered loss, while hoping for some kind of justice on earth, and trusting in the Lord to make all things right in His time.
