Important Update on Homeschool Regulations – Action Needed from Homeschooling Church families
The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is currently reviewing the state’s home instruction regulations under COMAR Title 13A.
One of the proposals being discussed is a State-Approved Curriculum requirement. This could mandate which curriculum homeschool families must use, potentially undermining parental rights to direct their child’s education and requiring instruction that may conflict with family values and religious beliefs.
